Trumpet Swans

So, long story short...these trumpet swans aren't even supposed to be in my state, Arkansas, but a few years ago, a couple got blown off course in a storm and found themselves in this lake in Heber Springs. Apparently they enjoyed it so much, they brought their families the next year...now there are about 200 each year at this lake. These were shot in March. They are beautiful animals and were so fun to get pictures of. They were a little difficult for me since my camera can only zoom in so far before the image becomes blurry (coolpix camera) but I'm pretty proud of the couple good shots I got.

I also like the capture of #2, think about shooting from a lower perspective near the water level next time.


Ohhhh, and those are trumpeter swans.... not trumpet. lol

There's a bit of a hill around the lake so it's a tad difficult getting more level with the water. I know, but we call them trumpet swans...a friend of mine calls them flute trumpeters...
