I don't care for the color of the first one.

The second and third make me wish the elephants were just a bit brighter and in better focus. Not a lot, but I think a little more detail on the elephants would be nice.

Elephants? What elephants? LOL Totally missed the elephants until I read the comments, so maybe a little post work on them, to give them more prominence.

I like airbrushed fantasy paintings so I can easily accept #1 as "just that", fantasy. It's hard to tell if someone is heavy in PS because nature can produce some pretty bold, colorful skies but I like the colors. I also like the elephants in the mist. They don't stand out much but to me they wouldn't have that "hidden in the mist" quality to them if they stood out too much. Overall I think it's a pretty good picture.

Actually the camera was on auto white balance and gave me the first pic. The other two are from me attempting to fix the color temp in post and some other minor tweaks. I also like just the hint of elephant, but will certainly try to enhance as suggested by others.

Don't worry about what I (or the collective "we") like...create what YOU like.

He asked what we thought, I gave him my opinion.

Thank you all for your comments. It is a great way for me to learn to maybe approach a shot a little differently or to treat it differently in post.

I know, I chimed in too.
What I really meant was that if he was happy with how they came out, then don't worry the opinions of others. I see asking for opinions and worrying about them as being different.
