i have friends who have them. you will not be able to find a reliable deal on these..its the same with high end cameras. buyer beware.

Corry, just a thought...could you and his parents go in on the gift together? Maybe the PSP + a few games and if you all chip in it's not so bad.

Ok, but now for a review on the actual product, if that's possible. Know anything about it? I know you can play DVD's in it, but they have to be special DVDs, right? I thought I saw something once that was a dvd converter? Is there such thing? Are your friends who have them happy with them? Good quality, and whatnot. I don't want to spend that amount of money if I'm buying something that a lot of people have complained about.

I'm not gonna buy yet, but just wanting your opinion...(though I'm sure this total will rise)...this seems to me to be a pretty good deal. Would you think this is not the way to go? Sorry for asking so many questions, I just wanna be really careful spending this kinda money.

The reserve hasn't even been met on it yet, so it's probably not going to sell, or will sell for a lot more than what you see there. Personally, I would but it in a store so if something goes wrong you have a warranty and an easy place to return/exchange it. I'd be weary of buying used electronics off ebay, but that's just me.
