Those are tori, ( Singular: torus) not tubes.
Not to sound flippant, but are you just discovering the effects menu in your software?

No, been Photoshopping for some time but I don't really use it to much anymore.(pretty obvious I know) I mostly just do editing in Lightroom. I have not been able to get out and take any new shots recently so I decided to play around with 3D with some old pics I dug up. I try to avoid the click and apply filters for the most part. Thanks for asking.

Pick up a copy of 3DS Max (Autodesk) if you want to really have some fun with 3D and fill a lot of hours.

I need a reason to go outside and enjoy the great outdoors, I spend enough time in front of a computer. Without the camera is it really still a photo?

Definitely NOT a photo. It was a half way attempt at humor.
When I was creating a landscape and sunrise in Max once, my niece walked by and said' hey beautiful photo, I'd love to be a photographer and capture something like that'. I told her it wasn't a photo, it was a simulation and she got really sad and said, so there's no reason to be a photographer anymore?
I said that this gave photographers even more reason to make great compositions, because now there is a true competitor to try to outdo.

That kind of stuff is way out of my skill level when it comes to photoshop(simulating landscape photography). I mostly will do humorous alterations of photos in Photoshop for mine and my friends amusement. My "serious" stuff just gets tweaks from the RAW files in Lightroom. I checked out some of your post and you have some nice stuff.
