Nice; I particularly like the one of the row of fishing boats. One suggestion I will offer is to try some highlight and shadow adjustments to bring out some more of the detail in the dark areas.

Thanks, I’ve just been using the auto improve selection in paint.net. I shall try to find the sliders for the adjustments you mentioned.

Those probably don't exist in Paint.net; it's a fairly basic program. If you're interested in photography on any serious level as a hobbyist, consider the Adobe Photographer's Bundle of Photoshop & Lightroom for $10/month, or Adobe Photoshop Elements, The Gimp, or Corel Suite. These, with suitable practice will give you much more control over your processing work.
