These are the faces I get when I ask to practice portrait photography with them...what kind of remarks/faces do you get from friends when you ask to use them for practice?

First ones out of focus. Second one has some focus issues as well, not to mention the shadows on the wall behind tron aren't doing you any favors.

I like shadows and am currently practicing to include them in portraits. This was done not-so-well but is to be expected when practicing. The photo of AnthraxPhobia was intentionally OOF as I wanted a bit of a soft look to it. His face he was making seemed to make a juxtaposition with the soft look.

I will make some serious attempts at the typical portraits as soon as I come across a room that would be big enough and I have enough money to buy some flash as at the time I saving for a vehicle.

For now, I will keep experimenting and listening to your great advice. Thank you so much, very much appreciated.

I usually get my lights loaded into my car, camera bag packed with all my batteries freshly charged --- and they flake out on me.
