Two photos by Nikon J1 from Hong Kong

I am curious as to what people have to say about the first one because I find myself taking shots like this during the night. Where the night is really dark and the foreground is really bring. Something is off, but I don't know what and how to fix it.

The second photo is interesting. But if you were going to the streaking line look, you exposure needs to be longer, maybe about 3-4 times longer than the current exposure.

For me, #1 the angle is ever so slightly off - I would like to see that glass at the bottom of the photo level with the bottom of the photo. Rotation won't fix this as then the building will be tilted. The photo itself is really well exposed and sharp and colour balance is great.

#2 I like what going's on, but I would have liked to have seen it exposed for another 1-2 seconds. To me the light trails feel a bit weird stopping before the photo edges. The photo should also do with a little bit of a contrast bump as well, particularly in the lit centre. I'd also play with the colour saturation.

Overall two really nicely exposed photos, with perhaps a couple of minor flaws. Thumbs up.
