Just looking for some general c&c, (composition, processing, what you don't like about it, cropping.) I know there are a lot of threads like this one so thanks in advance for taking the time to help/comment.

the bmw bike in general is pretty cool, but the picture does nothing for me im afraid.

the flower shot, however, im really digging the back lighting and sun flare.

#1 is a really interesting shot, I like it. I think the framing would feel better if the flowers were a bit more to the left and the sun closer to the left edge of the frame. But still, a nice shot.

I'm not digging the bike shot... it just looks like a shot of a bike to me, nothing special.

yeh love the first shot! the sky is super!

Thanks!

I don't love the first shot.

Backlit subjects need front flash/fill to 'pop'.

The upper parts of the motorcycle get lost in the dark beyond. It would have been good to backlight the motorcycle with off camera flash.

A speedlight on 1/16 power, sitting on the ground 10 feet behind the motorcycle would have been nice, and again providing 'pop'.

Thanks for the lighting tips! I will try a re-shoot of the flowers using my vivitar as a front flash. I probably won't get a chance to shoot the cycle again as it is not mine. Thanks for the detailed advice regarding the bike shot.

I like them both, everyone pretty much covered my thoughts on the 1st.
However I like the second because I can picture the biker in all his/her attire coming out of the retail store and climbing on their bike starting it up and riding away.
I'm okay with the lost detail in the darkness because it seems like a fantasy to me almost anyways. Like perhaps I am coming out to hop on my bike and ride off into the night.
