Two questions re PS CS6

1) I currently have a macbookpro OS 10.6.8 on which I have photoshop CS4 with Topaz and Nik plug ins I added. If I buy CS6 do you think my plugins will automatically "populate" CS6 or do I have to do something different or purchase new plug ins?

2. If in six months to a year I upgrade to a new mac (which I plan to do) can the CS6 installed on the old computer be easily transferred to the newer computer?

1) The plugins should be compatible between versions, but not between platforms. CS4 is a 32bit program on mac and CS6 is a 64bit program. There's no choices for this unlike the Windows version which always gave you the option. Thank Apple and their decisions to kill support for the Carbon API and force Adobe to re-write Photoshop for the Cocoa API. Anyway you will (I believe) need to check with Nik software and Topaz to see if they can offer you 64bit versions of the plugins you already have.

2) I believe you can but it's a bit of a mission. You need to deactivate your old licence and transfer the serial number to your new machine: How to Move Adobe CS6 Between Computers, or from PC to Mac | ProDesignTools
