Two red foxes. What do you think of the adjustments I made?

I'm not really happy with this picture compositionally, but I took it on the fly at full zoom with my FZ-28 (read: digital crop) because I saw the foxes on the side of the road. Incidentally, they were trying to take down a beaver before I drove by and scattered them.

But I am curious what people think of the adjustments I made. Here's the picture:

Wait, so the super saturated one is the original? The first one looks underexposed, so if that's your edited one, you may want to consider pushing the brightness up a bit.
