UK-based newbe

Afternoon/morning (depending where you are) all!

I'm Phil, UK based, and am newly getting back into photography after a little break due to being busy with work and life in general.

I initially got back into photography, 35mm film specifically, in around 2017 and purchased a Canon AV-1 in good condition with a few lenses for a very reasonable price and used it relatively frequently for about a year. Recently I unpacked it for a family holiday and enjoyed using it again, despite a potential issue which has arisen (posted in a separate thread) which may have completely ruined 2 rolls of film which would be annoying, luckily I normally always do follow up shots with my phone just incase!

I normally use B&W film in the form of Ilford XP2 super as I like the effect and it's easy to get developed locally.

I am now researching different cameras, wanting to try out different things, so I have my eyes on a Yashica Electro 35 GSN to be my first foray into rangefinders, and will probably look to get a slightly better SLR in the future too.
