I know I'm weird, but I don't really like this. I don't really know if it's the lack of color or the lack of definition of the girls skin, but something just bugs me.

I normally do like your stuff.

The girl's forearms are getting lost (especially 2 & 3) from the end of her sleeve to her fingers. Not too much interest for me, but good try anyways.

Hmm my mistake then, the shadows looked too defined that's all.

As for the light, I posted setup before. It's one light behind the subject w/out any diffuser. It's open light and it bounces all over the room but most of the lights are coming from behind. But as you see from the link you provided, how the light is not using any diffuser, it's bare bulb. So the light it spitting everywhere in the room. But had there been closer walls it would have bounced off it.

Ms T and Kund, thanks for looking. With setup like this, that's how the images will come out. You either like the look or you don't for this specific look. But with the light setup I had it was intentionally done this way.
I tried to find you from Zack Arias' website but I forgot where it is.

He did say he actually used 2 lights, just strapped together for more power. (600 each) so 1200 watts coming at you is sure to make a pretty defined shadow!

there could also be a wall behind the camera to bounce it back to the subject unless.. Dont forget about the ceiling too.

Yeah, the whole room was a lightbox itself. Ceiling was 8ft tall, wall infront of her (behind me) was 7-8 ft away

it was a small 10x11 room

Not buying it, sorry. Make these assertions if you wish, but the disconnect is not palatable. If it was intentional, there would be other synchronicities to pull the image together or tear it apart from the norm. I don't see or feel this. It's a girl shakin' her bum under poorly exposed conditions IMO. Please explain otherwise.

I don't make excuses. If you think I am that's on you. This wasn't the first time I did this type of shoot and I am well aware of the result..... so for you to come tell me I screwed up somewhere because I didn't know what I was doing....well I'm not gonna argue/put up with that.

This was from a month or two ago and some people didn't care for it, some did. Maybe you're missing the point of these photos or the style but they're 100% intentional.

You already said "ot too much interest for me" to begin with so this would not be appropriate to C&C for you don't you think? I usually ignore photos that don't interest me and move on to C&C on something else that does.
