the huge OOF foreground element kills it for me.

DoF is completely wrong here. Why this big toy truck (that is definitely an important part of the scene) is OOF, why the door and all those distracting details in the bags (that have nothing to do with what the boy is doing atm) are not blurred? What is that blurred white stuff on the left in the forefront? Why that chair with its strong, distracting lines is there? And finally, why the boy is OOF as well? Or , I would rather say, the head of a boy.. Do you see, it us just the head lying on the table. Isn't it weird?

Hmmm I'll be a little contrarian ... I rather like the image ... it's fun, expressive and tells a kind of nostalgic story. The kid's gazing at his toy truck, and we've all been where this kid is. If I had to change anything I'd sharpen the focus on the boy's face, especially the eyes. The door & curtain are a bit distracting, but doesn't hurt it for me.

thanks guys. if i had to change something about the image, it would be the background. Hind sight 20/20 the door and curtain annoyed the crap out of me when i was looking through some images and came to this. The oof front foreground element (truck) i actually found a somewhat fascinating concept. A large element taking up a good portion of the frame that isnt the main subject put oof to steer the eye away from it. clearly you could all tell what it was, but it annoyed the crap out of you as it was oof and took up such a large part of the foreground. MAYBE it is controversial, maybe it is just stupid. But it sure had a reaction. lol It is a "weird" photo for a human interest. Agree with all points to varying degrees. i definitely wished i at least put the back ground oof. interesting to see the reactions. Especially over the oof truck. i was really wondering how that would play out and the chair..
