Imo they are pretty dark, especially the 2nd one. Have you tried to bring the shadow detail lost with the highlights/shadows adjustment?

I don't know why, but the shadows are always darker in my internet browser (Firefox) than in Photoshop.

I like the second one you posted....the original 1st image. lol.

yeah, i have issues with my laptop and what is seen here in the web too. Ultimately print tells the tale for me if it's something I like.

I have found that if i tilt my monitor way back and then up the bright +20 it is then calibrated for our printers at work....lolz.

I hope to have a real computer by xmas.
