Film or digital ? It looks like the books lost some detail. Otherwise just regular street shot, a somewhat on the grey side. Maybe can you crank up the contrast a bit ?

As Timor said, you lost alot of highlights and I'm not sure the vignette really works for me either.

I like it. Good street shot. It is kinda small, though, to really look at. Maybe post bigger sizes?

I know that when I scan prints, I lose details and other things may go wonky too. I have a crappy scanner, though!

Not bad. This sort of thing isn't the kind of thing that needs perfect technical stuff, so I don't care about the blown highlights. They capture the feel of the day pretty well. You can see at a glance that it's a brightly sunny cold day.

The window and the reflection is good stuff.

The pole on the right edge of the frame is a bit iffy. It's neither in nor out, I would probably crop it out.

Overall it's not super interesting. It's not bad per se, but it doesn't have that pop of human interest and inexplicable human behavior that really good street has. Ultimately, it's a guy looking at books, we know exactly what's going on, and it's pretty ordinary/common.
