Reminds me of a dessert

Both are great shots, but I like the second the most- that's what I remember Texas looking like when I was a kid the one time I passed through. The juniper bushes in the first must be something new they've added in the last 30-45 years or so to 'spice' up the world's largest overflow parking lot.

Good job pulling something out of nothing!

... Also, I think the vast & flat horizon is special. Here in my part of the desert that don't happen.

Thanks for the comments. I'm glad that they give something of the feel of the panhandle. The juniper bushes were at a rest stop, which was a little surreal in its own way. In fact I thought that the whole of the drive from Texline to Amarillo was fairly surreal. Cattle, cotton and oil under a very big sky.

The details of the distant feed silos and radial arm irrigators are a bit lost in the tiny jpeg.
