It's been a crazy month for me. I haven't been able to post as much as I would like, but I try to stop in and read a couple times a day. Here are few from my July & August 365-Day project. I hope you enjoy them. C&C is always appreciated. ~Jess

#1 Datura (Moonflower) The shadow in the middle reminds me of a couple.

#2 is...beautiful.

And #6 makes me think of the twilight-zone lol.

Those are my 2 favorites, I don't have anything real critique-like as they all look wonderful to me... Especially the shadow inside the flower :)

Try posting less photos in the thread, as it's difficult to do CC for many photos. Give each one of them the proper credits they deserved. But all in all, a good set!

Aida, why don't YOU pick 3 to say something about?

Anyway, Jess, I love #3.

#5 is great too.

I'm not qualified to critique your photos!!

The shadow in #1 is really neat and does look like a couple! #4 is beautiful and brings up memories of the county fairs I went to when I was a kid!

I've never seen a passion flower - it's beautiful!

I hate 365 projects...or more to the point, I hate that people want to post their 365 projects. Heck, that trend was a good part of the reason I stopped going to the Photocamel. Just got sick of seeing them.

In any case, good on you for sticking it through. Out of the 6 that you posted, #2 is incredible. The other 5 look like a typical 365 posting. You had your camera and you took a photo.

Regardless, I'm glad you had your camera with you for #2. The leading lines, the composition, the focus, the editing, the colors...all spot on. Great shot. It's a pleasure to view.

Perhaps you are right, but this project has helped me to grow and that's all that really matters. It's taken a lot of discipline on my part this year, a discipline that I feel not a lot of people possess.

Thanks for the comments everyone

I have to admit that your comments kind of ruined my morning, but then I finally found your portfolio. I usually try to investigate who is giving advice by looking at their work.

I suddenly feel much better.

#3 is perfect - I like everything about it. Would you be willing to describe the processing? Lighting on 2, 4 and 6 is harsh in an unflattering way. The shadow in #1 is interesting, but is too small a part of the image. This might have been better as a macro shot where you couldn't even tell that it was a shadow on a flower.

Thanks Ken

I used a pre-set in Lightroom on that photo ( "Split toning 1") - slightly decreased the exposure and added a little more black. Canon 50D - ISO 800 - 50mm - f2.8 - 1/60

#2 is really spectacular, I love it! 3 and 4 are great as well, thanks for sharing!
