Not the greatest shot but its the only chance I will ever get. It started getting cloudy after being clear all day. I was starting to get bummed out as this was turning out (seemingly) to be the same as the other shots I never got (i.e. supermoon, annular solar eclipse, etc.). But BECAUSE of the clouds, I was able to get this shot. This photo is taken with my FD 300mm prime at f22, 1/4000, ISO 100, some light cloud cover to block some of the light from the sun and my tinted sunroof:

Nice. I got NO shots, because, after having been cloudy for the last two days, it cleared up and was brilliant sunshine...TOO brilliant. By the time the sun was finally low enough to not be so blinding, it was already below the tree line from where I was. Oh well, maybe next time; I'll be 155 years old.

Well, I'll be 140. That may be do-able...or not. Imagine living that long. People will ask what the secret to such a long life is. You'll be able to tell them that you missed out on a once-in-a-lifetime photo and forced yourself to disregard death long enough to get a second go at it.

Neat capture! I totally forgot about the transit, boooo.

I wanted to photograph it, but the sky is so clear here in Arizona, the sun was way to bright! I had needed a special filter.

I should go visit Arizona one day. If nothing else, to at least say I was there once in my life.
