View attachment 138978 Here I am trying to reach that intersection between photography as art and document. J.E. Stimson and Frank Meadow Sutcliffe were quite good at achieving this. I believe that a painterly composition and literal (or nearly literal) translation of the scene are essential to success in this type of work, and that the value of a photograph made in this way is enhanced if the subject is interesting for any reason. As to details, this is 4x5 FP4 in PMK on MG Classic with Dektol followed by Se toning.
