Views/Replies ratio, regarding C&C

Don't forget that this entire forum can also be viewed by people who are not even members. They just come to look, and who can tell how often they (and whoever! and how many!) do that? But they all add to the "Views" count. Thus there are easily many more view than comments.

This was me for a long time. I was always afraid to post pics for C&C because I've seen so many get ripped apart.

I was a long time "guest" before I finally joined. And I found that reading the threads where C&C was given (good or bad) was very helpful to me. It would help me take a second look at what was being mentioned and now I'm able to rip my own photos apart.

I'll admit that I still mainly just read, more out of habit really. I'll try to work on that. LOL

i agree. frustrates me when i post something and get one responce and then a very similar pic by someone else goes on to page 2 or 3. makes me feel so unloved lol

I don't think I'm up to posting critiques, so I don't. While I've been taking photos for over 40 years, I usually come short when wanting to post something for or against it, but can later see the good and bad points when someone else points them out.

The biggest thing against me posting comments on photos is there are so many posted by newbies who just got their camera, took a few photos they think are great, and want comments on their obvious snapshots. Most are not really worth the time.
