Cute. I love the facial expression.

I find myself wanting to edit out that line around her neck where the skin folds. Kinda looks like baby was decapitated and head set on the body. Gruesome, I know, but it's what I thought of when seeing it.

Oh I see what you mean... The line. I am not too good editing yet. I don't really know I could do this :-/

I'm not familiar with elements but photoshop (full version) has a tool called the clone stamp. It's looks like a rubber stamp with a handle. To use that too to select it then go to your image and hold "alt" while clicking o select your clone source, then click away to replace. For instance- to get rid of that neck line (if you wanted) you would alt click just below it, then click on it. The tool will pull from where you alt-clicked to replace a click. You don't have to alt-click each time- it remembers- BUT- if I alt click on an elbow then click three inches to the right to replace, it's not going to keep pulling from the elbow if I move my mouse- its going to keep pulling from three inches left of where I click- if that makes sense. When you alt click, then move the mouse and click, it remembers the insistence and relation between the two as you work. hopefully elements has a clone stamp ?

The neckroll is important! Without it, the baby wouldn't look like a baby. Also, moms love the neckrolls, and all the other rolls.

There's a little bit of stray hair at the top of her head that's slightly distracting. If I was going to clonestamp anything out, it would be that.

It's a great pic. It looks like you did a good job of capturing this little one for their parents to enjoy and remember.

Adorable baby! I might be tempted to see if a subtle re-cropping might make it look a bit better; honestly, your WHITE watermark up there in the field on the left is distracting...VERY distracting; positioned against the background like that, your watermark becomes a HUGE "element" of the overall composition...it is placed in one of the absolutely most-critical places within the space...it doesn't fit in well there...it really kind of ruins the shot.

Cropping off the bottom of the wire basket...ummm...not sure about that. I think cropping some space off the left side, and moving the baby a bit more to the right and adding a bit of space on the bottom to include the very bottom of the wire basket MIGHT improve the final composition...hard to say definitively though, W/O the full frame to look at. The lighting seems fundamentally sound, and very delicate...the lighting scheme is very nice! As a square composition, I think this looks pretty good, but again, the white watermark layed over the pink and placed into the MAIN background are is competing VERY strongly with the baby...a black WM, lower right would be culturally more appropriate and less-distracting by far, and would not "steal from" the image nearly so much.

I wanted to clarify- *I* don't think the neck line needs to be edited at all, but OP said she wasn't familiar with how to attempt an edit like that so I was trying to explain how to use the clone stamp (if that's even an available tool in elements).

Good to know! I might try this and see how I go! Even good to know for other jobs..
