Walk around the house

Nice day out, but nothing much to take pics off.
Im still a beginner with a digital camera (Cybershot P71). I wish I had something better so I can experiment more :/

What can I improve on?
I have hard time putting together a composition or scene

PS. These pics where taken with a Cloud effect (I think it gives a lot more color to picture) and Sharpness of -2
