Out of the four ... your B&W bark is the strongest in subject/composition.

What did you find interesting about the cut tree ??

i definitely like 3 the best. love the contrast on the bark.

the cut tree is kinda cool, but it just didn't do anything for me. and the background was distracting.

but 3. i like. a lot.

@dxqcanadaThanks for the response. I found the tree was interesting because it had a lot of different textures that had a good definition (all of these are from that tree)

@naptimeThanks also. The background does take away a little. Do you think I could draw some attention to it with cropping part of the background out?


For both of you. Do you think 1 and 2 would be more interesting in b&w?

They might look better in black and white....

The thing is that the first two and the last one are so dark. There is a lot of detail lost in the shadows.
