I tried an almost identical shot a couple months ago, and gave up on it as the location just didn't fit the mood I was trying to achieve. While your image is okay, like mine, something about the composition just doesnt click to go from okay to great. Maybe it's the foliage that's overpowering the focal point, which is why I prefer the B&W, as it puts more emphasis on the woman.

I like them both Dean! However, I think the B&W has a little more atmosphere - and it may be the noise. I know sometimes eliminating noise too much can smooth out an image too much but you may want to experiment. The noise I think is why I'm preferring the B&W over the color. But I still like both of them. Great capture!

Both pics are nice but what I think would help to achieve the effect of walking into the light a little better would be a pic that showed the bright light on the other side of the opening only and not on her side and on her. Of course that would require another pic and for the light to cooperate. Maybe some heavy vignette around the outside to make the center appear for brilliant???

Thanks, FP. I could see the sunlight hitting parts of her as she walked down the path, and that's what really caught my eye.

My vote is for color. This would be a good location for a people shoot. Engagement, maternity, etc.
