I know I screwed up by missing the rest of the reflection opportunity, but I was preoccupied balancing flash against the harsh ambient from camera left. I don't shoot people.....

This came out very nicely!
I think the cut off reflection adds more to the picture as the eye is focused more on your granddaughter and not so much on the reflection, which is stunning, but I like this like that. Nice job!

Yeah, that's it - it was a plan!

Actually, all jokes aside that's a good call. I still wish I had captured the full image so I had the choice of cropping or not. Next time I'll pay better attention.

I would have preferred the full reflection, but it's a great shot regardless. This is the kind of photo op where you knock off a half dozen, though.
