Just walking by, in a public place. Street photography. I was told you need permission for photos like this in Austria, after I posted a photo of the doorman at the Central Café.

In the USA, permission in not needed in a space when there is no reasonable expectation of privacy. Walking down a city sidewalk in Los Angeles California would not enable anyone any expectation of privacy, hence no permission is needed here in the United States.
 
I like to think I have a pretty high tolerance for vertical lines, but the warning was appreciated on this one.
