Photos NOT OK to edit
so i saw a post on strobist and decided to try water droplet photography.

these were taken with my nikon d40, one sb600 off camera, and a 55-200vr lens.

and yes thats dirt in the pan you see, i didnt do the best job of cleaning the pan before i used it. and yes i was too lazy to clone it out

Very impressive!

Very solid shots! I can't believe it's a first attempt! I know the Strobist post made me want to try this technique.

I THINK THE PURPLE IN #3 IS A COOL EFFECT

Looks great. I remember my first try doing something like this with a film camera. I used a whole roll of film and only got one good exposure.

oh wow ive been getting a lot of feedback on my recent threads, this is really great. thanks a lot for the kind words!

n0yze, i took about 20 pictures, it took a while to time the pictures though :)

mygreen, thats the tutorial i saw :) very informative, i highly suggest watching it. its suprisingly easy to do! if you dont have any means to set the flash off camera, you could probably bounce it off the ceiling or something.

again, thanks a lot for the great feedback!

Just an opinion and my 2¢ worth...... but I think a lower PoV may have been an enhancement. Not that these are bad...., just food for thought.

thanks kundalini, ill keep that in mind next time.

actually i think i might put some more up tomorrow

bump for new pics :)
