Several months ago I asked a question for the the people of thephotoforum.com. It was a simple question yet it sparked some harsh responses because of my "rookie" status in photography. Well since then I have had a lot of time to practice and improve my skills. I have also had the opportunity to second shoot with a working professional in my area. I have done 2 weddings and have 3 more coming. I have done plenty of my own shoots of various events, parties....etc. I came back today in order to post a few photos of my work and get your input on them.

Im at work right now and my moniter isn't calibrated at work, but in the first photo her dress looks really blue to me. im not getting that color on the third pic. did you boost the blues in the first photo to try and bring back the sky maybe?

Yes I did overdo the blue, I have since backed it down.

its easy to do. you start staring at one point of the photo and miss the changes it makes on another part that you werent paying attention too.

Here is my cc as requested. It is kinda hard to see how well you did only based on these 4 photos. My biggest complain is your crop size. You have 4 photos and they are all have different crop ratio. What was the idea behind it?

to be honest I wasn't worrying about a crop ratio (probably wrong), I was trying to make each photo look the best I could. Am I suppose to have each photo with a similar ratio?

It is like this, you give it to the client. Now they want to print it, what size of print do they want? What frame?

I see what you mean, well foolish of me not to think about that. I have now made the change within lightroom to keep them within ratio.
thanks for the input
