Wee Bird Perched on a Tree

My first attempt at wildlife photography. I only have Nikon's 55-200, probably not enough zoom for wildlife but this is as close as I got. Any CC would be fantastic.

And can anyone help identify the bird?

That bird looks like a chickadee to me. I'm not sure the exact kind of chickadee, but I know it's the state bird of Maine, my beautiful home state. And yeah, I've been trying to get bird shots with a maximum 200mm reach haha, it's tough! I still like this shot though, the colors are nice, and there's a sense of atmosphere in it all.

I like the photo, and as mentioned above, nice colours - was it an evening shot? I have a 55-200mm lens aswell, so I udnerstand your predicament when it comes to wildlife!

It does indeed look like a great tit - identical to the pics on the Wikipedia article.

Yeah, it's an evening shot. 5:56pm as my camera has it down, it was either just before or at the very beginning of sunset if I remember correctly.
