To test the Helios extension tube combination I used the Dilbert cartoon from yesterday's Sunday comics...

For this week's challenge, post a macro (or close up photo if you don't have a macro lens) of something old or something blue or both! If you haven't yet tried macro, get ready to get hooked. There are many options for macro equipment - macro lenses, extension tubes, macro lens filters, reverse lenses or a combination of these.

As always, new photos only please for the weekly challenge.

You can build a DIY light tent or find one on eBay. Then set up your lights outside it. There are neutral white lights available. The light tent diffuses the light to reduce glare. After test shots you might need dark cards or boards (flags I think they're called) in areas to really reduce hot spots.
