Ok. I did it. After unable to scrounge up a measly $500 to upgrade to an a700 for it's pentaprism, I decided its time to put aside the old moldy lenses I've been using and start shooting AF. My eyes just aren't up for the task, and there's no point shooting manual if 2/3 of of the images come out blurry due to old age (lol) eyes and shaky hands. IS, AF and even auto aperture (I know! The modern conveniences) here I come. I na week I'll have my first two AF primes, a minolta 28/2.8 and a 50/1.7. I have a feeling this will be a good thing after all.

I'll start using evaluative metering and multipoint AF by 2050. You know. When I'm too blind to accurately determine exposure compensation or where the subject is relative to the foreground...
