Well....

Last night, I finally did it. Since I was a kid, I always wanted a cycle... nothing big, really. Just a very small bike it could drive the short distance back and forth to work. I found a vintage Honda C70 on eBay.

I unloaded the thing in the dark, so at first light, I was ready for a ride. I took it around the neighborhood, filled the tank (1 gallon), and headed home.

Now, I'm not really sure what happened, but one minute I was at the corner in front of my house.... stopped... and the next second I had my face in the pavement. I think my ego took the worst beating. Now I have to wear this road rash on my forehead for the next couple of weeks. It might just as well be a "stupid" sign. Aside from the burning sensation, I think it's all gonna be OK. Geeezzzzzzzzzz!

I'm not certain why I'm sharing this. Maybe some empathy?

No... no helmet. I AM re-thinking that. Seems it might be a good idea, at least for a while.
