This place is called Bodie State Park. It is a gold mining town named Bodie, after one of the prospectors who initially struck gold here. I went there with my neices and their husbands. They have a home in Bridgeport not far from Bodie so we stayed there for a few days.

3.) Jailhouse
4.) This is what's left of the old bank building
5.) Pit stop at 'ye olde gas station
6.) Some buildings in the back forty
7.) This is the stamp mill, where they crushed the ore, and it's associated gold extraction buildings
8.) This is the Cain house, where the supervisor of the stamp mill lived
9.) A residence with the stamp mill in the background
10.) Just couldn't pass up a pano of this beautiful valley
11.) Sawtooth ridge
12.) My first attempt at a Milkyway galaxy shot
13.) Our crew...I am in the middle, the dog is named Abbie.
