This place is called Bodie State Park. It is a gold mining town named Bodie, after one of the prospectors who initially struck gold here. I went there with my neices and their husbands. They have a home in Bridgeport not far from Bodie so we stayed there for a few days.

Great set!

Is the 10 mile entry road still gravel washboard? I was there decades ago. Nice pictures!

Great spot, and great set
Thank you! I agree, it is a great place to visit. The day we went they had some sort of 'Bodie Appreciation Day' event going on...probably a couple hundred people there. It was a bit of a struggle to get shots without people in them.
