Went to a reservoir with my long lens

This is a gizmo on a high voltage electrical transmission line.

Don't know why but I find these Oak branches and spider web interesting.

This is the water inlet tower for the reservoir. They are doing some retrofit work on it at this time.

G'day mate

The gizmo in #1 I would take to be an 'anti-cable-wobble' dampener [from winds etc] to reduce the fraying of cable strands at each tower and thus prevent cable breakage / failure. We have similar (but not this style) of devices Downunder too\
