and the photographer wants over £350 for an 11x8 print and a frame!!!! :shock:
Bearing in mind he's on digital and so even developing cost aren't an issue... do you think that's a little excessive??

well, i shoot film and it costs me about 30 cents to process a roll of film, so development costs aren't an issue for film photographers, either. unless they send off the film to be done which would raise a flag in my mind about that person anyway.

excessive? that's a tough one to answer. one can't just look at the costs of the photographer and dictate what should be charged. i have a very good friend who is a rather well known photographer of children who gets between $700 and $1,000 per sitting. that does include one print; each print thereafter the client must pay.

Yup, I'd say that's excessive. Even when you factor in the photographers capital costs etc I think it's still over the top.
