Well done! I love the light in the eye on the first one. The pelican snack and follow the leaders swans are my favorite.

The sandhills really are something - and better yet they really don't seem to take much notice of me at all. They'll walk right past, sometimes so close I could almost reach out and touch one. I'll get a pelican or two that will do the same occasionally - but the sandhills seem to have no fear whatsoever.

Thanks Spanish Girl - the pelican staredown was kind of a fun shot - I was taking pictures of his buddy who was cruising on the lake, and when I brought the camera down I noticed this guy standing pretty much right next to me.

So I got the camera back up and turned real slow - he just stood there and looked at me. Lol

It was actually a little surreal. Here I am shooting one pelican on the lake, I glance over and here is a second one standing right next to me - I never even saw him walk up. I got a few pics of him, and he just stood there - first he looks at me in with what I'd swear was total indifference, then he just stood next to me and looked out at the lake like I didn't even exist. Lol.. was pretty funny really.
