One of my friends is looking for a sub $500 compact camera. I don't know much about the small pocket cameras but after quickly looking through some I've decided to just ask here. Because there are thousands of those little cameras all shapes and sizes.
Things they care about are how fast it is ready to shoot, controllable flash so it can shoot with no shadow (or close to that), decent image quality in low light and decent fps.
They don't care if its 16mp or 4mp as long as it's fast and performs well.
Another big concern is the size, they want it to be as small and light as possible. Although they know that will most likely compromise the quality somewhat, they are just looking for best price per performance in the most compact package.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
