Wow just came back and had no idea there was this many responses! Thank you all for your awesome comments . So much has happened since this video and believe it or not it has spurred same massive jobs for us over here. I'll try to get back onto TPF for often from now on.

OP, if you're still around..., how did you approach the various vendors to loan you products for the shoot? Was it as simple as e-mailing them with a description of what you had planned?

It was more complicated than that. First we had to track down exactly who we needed to speak to. That turned out to be a lot of work on its own. Then we essentially had to harass them until they'd actually give us the time of day. I put together a nice package to show them in person after we were finally able to schedule meetings. Luckily most of the Canadian headquarters for these companies were located nearby, so we were able to actually visit them. I demonstrated some basic ideas and how it could benefit them and some of them liked it, while other never gave us the time of day and other-others simply didn't really dig it that much. But we were very tenacious about getting help as it was absolutely necessary.
