Only had my camera for 3 weeks, joining my local club this week but would like your opinions on whether I should show these. This is a selection of what I think are my best shots. I know I have loads to learn but comments would be welcome

Not so keen on the farm machinery shots - they don't show much imagination, but with some cleaning up of the background, some colour correction and maybe a re-shoot so you get the whole glass in shot, number 3 is actually a very well thought out shot of a glass of wine.

Some are o.k., but not all. Show #'s 2, 5, and 6. #8 if you remove the hearts first.

Photography clubs can be vicious.

To be honest the only images I like are the wine with its shadow and the shot with the big rock dead center. The others don't really show me an interesting way of looking at things.

For a beginner that wine shot is brilliant though.

Just from my own experience of my club if you other members are not familiar with your chosen topic, for instance farm machinery, then it is likely that they may not rate a photo no matter what. I don't know what format your club operates on in any event it's not your fault if people are ignorant of things.

I like your images overall, the wine glass are ones different and are well thought out. The image of the wrecked loading shovel is one that would suite one of my clubs categories this year but I would try to eliminate the road somehow perhaps a reshoot.

Keep at it regardless if the club give some practical feedback try to introduce it to your images but don't bother about brow beaters
