What hardware/software is needed to display shots on computer/ monitor?

Can someone please tell me what is needed to display images on to a computer or laptop? Just as the image appears on the lcd, only on a different monitor. I've seen this done by pro's on different behind the scenes shows on tv.

The easiest is to use a projector connected to the laptop. You need to find what outputs the laptop has and get a cable that goes from it to the projector. The laptop will have settings somewhere in the controls called "presentation" and that gives you several options.

Many newer laptops and projectors have hdmi or other high definition outputs but most pc laptops have VGA out and so do most projectors.

If the laptop and projector don't have the same type outs then you need a conversion cable.

Software depends on the camera. Most of the manufacturers have some. The term you're looking for is shooting "tethered"

Canon has remote capture that comes with the camera software I dont know what nikkon has
