What is the corrected size

Almost everytime I try to upload a picture to this website it says it is too big. What is the maximum size to upload?

I just put mine on Flickr and use the "share" feature (Grab HTML/BBC Code - Medium 500) . . . it's a lot easier.

I rarely resize photos I display here on TPF.

Maximum photo file size is 2 Mb.

There is no restriction on image size (pixels), but the forum software will automatically adjust the photo size.

File size and image size are 2 different things. You can reduce the file size without changing the image size (pixel dimensions).

Also, near the top of most forum pages you can click on Forum Actions > General Settings > scroll down to Thread Display Options and in that section set preferences and values for The Image Resizer. I have mine set to Default (enlarge in same window), 1000 width and 700 height.
