What is the problem?

What is wrong with this picture? I was trying to ETTR using unpopular's way and I found out something strange my picture has. All my picture have this type on green vignette (but it's harder to see on brighter pictures) even though the middle's white balance is normal. Is it because of my hood/filter/lens/body/metering? RAW turned into JPG in Lightroom with all settings at zero except exposure. Exposure is set at -4.0.

Filters increase the chances of flare, especially if they're not top of the line multicoated filters.

Something seems weird. Why were you shooting at +4 exposure compensation, and then dialing it down 4 stops? That's well past ETTR.

I am going with unpopular's way. Spot meter the brightest part then add +4 EV compensation.

I would say the method did not work for this situation. I really wish I could give you some better feed back then that but I just don't know what to tell you to fix this.

That seems to be a rather arbitrary rule.

ETTR is really best used when your image doesn't exceed the dynamic range of your camera. (so if your histogram isn't near either side). You can then increase your exposure until you are just below clipping the highlights. Metering the brightest part and increasing 4 stops may get you there, but maybe not...depends on the shot.

The purpose of using ETTR, is to end up with an image that has less visible noise. Probably not needed when shooting at ISO 100.

But anyway...I'm still not sure why you have that green vignette...that's just strange.
