Too many tines to be a divot tool; tines are too far apart (and thin) for a clay texturing tool (though that would probably work)

It to clean out the lid of an onion chopper like this:

The underside of the lid has little cubes that match up with the square holes in the cutting portion (metal parts in the green plates). Those get clogged with little pieces of the veggy you're chopping, and the little fork is used to clean them out.

Wow, and to think I've been using a knife all this time when I could've had one of those!

And yes, they do work. I use one every month to chop up onions and peppers used for a monthly breakfast.... we use them in the omelettes.

You can get one similar to this (generic knock-off) at Wally World for about $12 - 15.

Did you buy a new Canon sometime? I've heard they like to include little trinkets like this to confuse photographers.

I use a mini food processor to chop onions, etc. so that tool is useless in our home.
