Anybody have any idea why my picture has all of the horizontal lines??

Mayvbe some strong RFI...radio frequency interference***that's my guess. This kind of defect is often seen on digital image shot near large metro areas, like NYC's Empire State Building. Or places where cameras are impacted by a lot of RFI zipping by in the air.

I get that when I forget to lift the screen in the window :(

Were you using a fully charged battery and freshly formatted card ? And is it all shots or just this one ?

That happened to my camera last time I was kidnapped by aliens and probed. Never worked the same since...

Look up Fixed Pattern Noise (FPN), or Screen Door Effect when shooting video.

The RF interference Derrel mentioned can cause it, but it can happen with long exposures too.
It's to bad the D7100 only has a metal top and back plate. A full metal chassis provides better RF interference rejection which is part of why Nikon's prosumer and pro grade cameras have full metal chassis.

Is that on a single picture out of the camera or on ALL the pictures? If it is just one... probably some kind of electrical interference... but if it is on all of them, I wouldn't know.

It was not on all pictures, but on most from that day. Not shot through a screen. And I definitely don't live in a large metropolitan area!
