what to buy??

my sony p 52 just died from a shutter motor error..after about a year of use..all I do is post pictures and short movies on ebay..not looking to spend mega bucks just want a good sturdy camera..my first dig. camera about 3 years ago was a $450.00 toshiba it lasted about a year also..thanks for your help.. keith
