What to use to clean lenses and filters

I use Eclipse fluid, and Pec Pads (disposable+lint free) for anything that cannot be blown off. Both are made by Photographic Solutions.

They are a little expensive, but I find that I don't really need to use them that often, and so they last me a long time. I dont think there is any better method available as far as I know.

Eclipse fluid is the only solution that I know of that leaves absolutely no residue. It is even safe for use when cleaning sensors, and is the only method approved by all camera manufactures.

When you wipe it on the lens, you can see it all evaporate less than a second later. Its pretty cool.

It contains methanol though, and I dont think you can fly with it per FAA regulations.
