I'd be interested in your opinion on this photo, which I took on Freezing Hill in England last Thursday at 9:02am on the way to work.

I would also be interested in your speculation as to which camera, lens and film (or sensor) combinations were used. There is an important point to my question.

11-16mm , f/2.8 (based on dof), Nikon (based on graininess).

i hope this is a joke because "Based on graininess"? So all Nikon's are grainy?

Nah, the D3 isn't revolutionary, pfft.

This looks like it was shot with a cell phone.

You win the cigar - a HTC Desire Android ISO 100, no aperture information, 4.31 mm lens to be precise.

Just reinforced the point I hear from time to time, that the best camera is the one you have with you and not to get too carried away with the gear.

..to an extent.

Ofcourse ! "the best camera is the one you have with you and not to get too carried away with the gear." I've got that etched into my brains now.

Pun is that many would say that only after purchasing the best  (not all)

I'd like to be at this vantage point with some good equipment and some really warm clothes.
