Ah, I didn't notice. Might be Mennonite, but the Amish are more modern than people think....as long as it's not gasoline powered. I used to sell produce next to an Amish family and the ladies would sit there and read People and True Confession. Don't know what their take on music is though.

I'd never heard of Mennonites until I moved to Kansas. I saw a group of women in Arby's one day; they finished eating and got into a car. My mind was blown as I was only familiar with Pennsylvania Dutch at that point.
Apparently the level of technology they're allowed varies from church to church or town to town. Near me they can have cars but no radios, another town they can use tractors but no rubber tires and then in Yoder they're like the Pennsylvania Dutch.

Had an Amish customer in a small Kanas town once explain that they gather every July to decide what is ok and what is not. The store they ran had computers to run the store, but no internet, they were ok with live music, but not recorded music, they had telephones but no voice mail. Kinda strange to me, but they made out ok.
