All of Iceland's electricity comes from boiling water under great pressure bubbling up and spinning turbines. Since the ground is very porous, melt water percolates down until it gets near enough to magma to boil, then the boiling water shoots to the surface through existing fissures.

The Icelanders have little worry about fences or cautions on this steam - or for that matter at dangerous cliffs over waterfalls. I guess their attitude is that survival of the fittest applies even now.

For sense of scale, that boulder just above the midline is about 4 feet high.

Nice, but their concept of ice is different than mine. :)
 
I've seen dry ice do that. :)
