Which lens

Canon R5 mark ii with the RF 24-70 f2.8 or the RF 24-105 f2.8? I know the 105 weighs more but is the extra reach worth the extra money?
Is the RF 24-105 F4 worth it?

I have both, the 24-105 in Z and it’s a cracking lens. Both are very good in their own way .

I have the RF 24-104 f/4 L and it is a great lens. It is on my R6 II 99% of theb time.

I plan on getting the 24-105 F/4 L i'm not interested in the size/weight of the F2.8 for use as a walkaround lens

First question would be: Do you really need f/2.8 or will f/4 do? With all the Ai noise reduction these days, high iso noise is almost a thing of the past.

To be fair...2.8 vs f/4 isn't as important as it once was especially with modern full frame sensors. Its only one stop. I've compared 24-70 f/4 to a 2.8 version and I was pressed to tell the difference in terms of depth of field. It was very minimal. Unless you really really need that extra 1 stop of light or that extra background blur or insane sharpness of the 2.8 lens I'd save your money and weight and just go with of f/4 in my opinion.
